Becoming a Volunteer

Most of our volunteers help in the Learners’ Network, Outreach, First Nations and Workforce Literacy programs. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months, although many volunteers have been with us for several years.
As a volunteer, you will help an adult learner to:
- strengthen reading, writing, spelling, math, computer or essential workplace skills
- use new learning tools
- develop self-esteem and confidence
- achieve personal goals
Orientation and training is provided for volunteers.
If you want to volunteer, the first step is to attend one of our information sessions. You will get an overview of our various programs and the many options for volunteering.
