To make a general application to volunteer please fill out our Volunteer Application form below. Once you have submitted the application, please have letters of reference sent by email to: lynn@literacyvictoria.ca or mail to: Lynn McCay, Coordinator, Learners' Network, Literacy Victoria 930A Yates Street Victoria, BC V8V 4Z3. Once your form has been received, we will contact you about the next step.

Note: Ideally you have already attended a General Information Session before submitting an application for all programs except the Workforce Literacy and Essential Skills Program (WLES). Applications for the Workforce Literacy Program are accepted at any time.

Literacy Helpers may be working with vulnerable clients in sensitive areas. Before becoming a Literacy Helper (tutor) at Literacy Victoria, please provide two letters of reference from people who know you well enough to comment on your suitability in the following areas for this type of volunteer work. These can be sent by email.
