Ways to Volunteer

There are many opportunities to volunteer at Literacy Victoria.

You may:

  • tutor learners in essential skills education and job specific training as part of the Workforce Literacy & Essential Skills program
  • provide one-to-one learner support as part of the Learners Network program
  • work in Outreach teams at community organizations serving marginalized individuals
  • work on reserve with Aboriginal learners in the First Nations program
  • assist in the Literacy Victoria computer lab, library or office
  • assist at special events
  • provide policy guidance and governance as a Board Member.

All our volunteers receive training and support.

If you want to volunteer, the first step is to attend one of our information sessions. You will get an overview of our various programs and the many options for volunteering.
